We are super excited to announce the introduction of an additional Cup Class to each of the Rounds of the 2018 Senior Motocross Championships.
Round 1, 4th February (Taranaki), and Round 2 25th February (Rotorua) will host the 2018 Woman’s Cup (riders must be over 15), with bike capacity 125cc 2 stroke/ 250f 4 stroke. With accumulated points for each round and the Cup awarded at the Rotorua round for the overall. This class is recognition of the great momentum the Woman’s class has been getting in recent major events and we feel it’s time to welcome them along to the Senior Championships.
Round 3, 11th March (Hawkes Bay), and Round 4, 24th March (Taupo) will host the 2018 Under 19’s Cup (riders must by 15 and 19 or under on the date of event), with bike capacity 125cc 2 stroke/250f 4 stroke. With accumulated points for each round and the Cup awarded at the Taupo round for the overall. This class provides an awesome opportunity for the under 19 riders to experience the Senior Championships ahead of coming along to join the championship classes when they feel ready. You can also double class with the MX2 and 125cc Championship Classes (but you will need a championship licence).
Both the 2018 Woman’s Cup and 2018 Under 19’s Cup are support class, and therefore your $80 entry fee is going to include a Day Licence for you (if required). They will be limited to the first 40 entries as there will be NO qualifying.
Get amongst it and come and ride, the host clubs are looking forward to having you there riding along with New Zealand’s best senior riders.
