NGARNZ Ride 30 – Central & South East North Island Backcountry Motorcycle Adventure ride – Part 2

This is a one day guide led LONG distance adventure ride starting and finishing at Lake Taupo
The ride will start early and finish late as there is big distance involved
Suitable for all size road legal adventure motorcycles
Riders must be able to handle their motorcycles in all types of conditions. This ride due to the distance involved is unsuitable for less experienced adventure riders
Expect Highways, minor roads and km’s of backcountry gravel roads
Ride fee $95.00 for riders and $75.00 for pillion
Lunch BYO or purchase at the lunch stop
Volunteer Tail end rider(s) sought for the day or part of otherwise will be selected on the day
With this type of ride, you will have no idea where we are a lot of the time (adventure at it’s best)
( HOW TO ENTER – Preregistered entries only):
Step 1). Deposit your entry fee into NGARNZ A/C no. 12 3624 0022738 00 and include your name in the Particulars column, Ride number in the Code column & Motorcycle type in the Reference column. e.g. (KTM 790R) or similar
Step 2). Contact Jim Denham by email to advise Jim of your intention to join the ride and that you have made payment. Email – firstname.lastname@example.org
Include your phone no. the motorcycle you are riding at the event and your emergency other personal contact details or fill them in at registration at the start of the ride.
Step 3). Your entry will be confirmed with ride details, terms and conditions, meet up place and time emailed back to you usually within 4 days of the ride start.

Cancellation Policy: We are trying to keep things as simple as possible with the administration side of things hence there are no ride fee refunds given. Before entering please work out that you really want to participate in the ride, have a roadworthy motorcycle fit for purpose and are available on the ride date.
Our rides run wet or fine with some alterations to routes if the conditions are unsuitable. Our rides are generally undertaken either SATURDAY or SUNDAYS so check with this ride calendar that you have the correct day programmed in. If minimum rider numbers are not met for a particular ride and NGARNZ advise it will not be going ahead a full ride refund will be given.
Note – Applicable to all guide led rides – Guide Led rides can be altered without notice by NGARNZ if unsuitable conditions or lack of land access exist. Should a situation arise due to injury, accident, breakdown or other unplanned event the ride maybe modified to allow for appropriate action(s).
With most of NGARNZ rides there are no support vehicles following therefore we recommend you belong to a roadside rescue service such as AA or similar, so in the event of breakdown your motorcycle can be retrieved for you. We will assist as much as possible to get your motorcycle up and running should it suffer from breakdown or sustain damage for whatever reason.
If you decide to BYO your lunch and the group stops at a retail lunch venue most retail outlets are not okay with your BYO lunch being consumed on their premises.
Short Distance = 150 to 300 km’s long approx…
Medium Distance = 300 to 500 km’s long approx…
Long Distance = 500 to 850 km’s long approx…
